Winter in southwest Ohio this time around has so far been very un-winterlike! Freezing overnight, but with springlike afternoon temperatures, everything is a little off-kilter. I hope the shrubs that are currently budding survive the confusing weather. (Not to mention my allergy-ridden co-workers!) As someone who likes to see more than occasional snow, I am a bit frustrated with the frequent chilly rain, but when I see the places where people can't open their front doors for all the snow, I stop complaining.
Meanwhile, the garden is just squishy. I've really got to get some drainage improvements made in the spring (or is it spring now?). I'm lining up the estimates...

Susan,
It's at least as bad in Vermont this year! We got our first snow this week, and it's already gone. Linda is coming from Maine for a late Christmas this weekend, and the temperature is supposed to be FIFTY!
Not that I mind - I'm no skier.
:-)
