Some perennial flowers are still a bit behind after the colder-than-usual winter, but summer color is definitely here and more is on the way. Birds, bees, and hummingbirds are buzzing all around, doing their pollinating so I get tomatoes, squash, and beans. Unfortunately, the poison ivy was not deterred by the cold weather, and seems to be popping up everywhere, mixed in with other weeds and desired plants alike.
